In the Company of Dogs

InThe Pet Therapist – In the Company of Dogs, people don’t just bring their dogs to be “fixed.”
They bring their lives.
Sophie runs a small and slightly unconventional pet therapy practice.
Harold, her thoughtful and observant partner, is less interested in quick solutions—and more interested in what lies beneath.
Together, they meet families, couples, and individuals struggling with dogs that won’t listen, won’t settle, or simply won’t fit into the life they were meant to have.
But things are rarely as straightforward as they seem.
With a mix of quiet insight and understated humor, these stories explore:

• dog behavior problems and the people behind them
• the misunderstandings between dogs and their owners
• how frustration slowly turns into recognition
• and how thehuman–animal bondoften reveals more than we expect

As Sophie looks for structure, answers, and perhaps a scalable business model, Harold tends to slow things down—asking the questions no one thought to ask.
And somewhere in between, small shifts begin to happen.
Blendingdog psychology, andcharacter-driven storytelling, this collection offers something different: stories about dogs, people, and the quiet moments where understanding changes everything.
